His personal best was 8.74 meters, achieved in April 1994 in El Paso. ==Collegiate career== Walder competed collegiately for the long jump/triple jump juggernaut University of Arkansas where he won 10 NCAA long jump and triple jump titles, indoor and outdoor.〔(Erick Walder )〕 He still holds the collegiate outdoor long jump record with a leap of 28 feet 8.25 inches (8.74 meters).
